ACOM-SPORTS would like to Congratulate DEREK MANGI for winning the UMAN GRAPPLING ABSOLUTE CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION and taking home $500 and two 1st place trophies. With this win, he is in line for an Acom-Sports North American Championship match with Rob Mudrak. Rob Mudrak won the 1st UMAN ABSOLUTE DIVISION but there was controversy as all the officials and spectators had Mangi ahead on points. When the time ran out, Referee Vincent Esposito had awarded Rob Mudrak with the win. ” There was a miscommunication, I awarded Rob more points and the score keeper didn’t put it in”. Rob went on to the finals, where he faced Sambo practitioner, Reilly Bodycomb. He tapped Bodycomb with a leg lock and became the 1st UMAN GRAPPLING ABSOLUTE CHAMPION. However, it was Derek Mangi who impressed everyone that day. Taking out the likes of Toney Davie. A 300lbs nationally ranked folk style wrestler who was powering his way through the competition that day. Mangi wasted no time in this outing to make his mark.
